Call for papers for “RIO Journal” Special Issue: “Open debates, current trends and challenges in corporate governance and corporate social responsibility”

Although corporate governance and CSR constitute relevant topics in the generic fields of business and economics, contributions from different sub-fields like accounting, finance, law, marketing, international business, management, etc. and even relationships between these fields will be welcome.
This special issue is also designed to attract papers not only centred in the national level, but also in global markets, in order to look for new perspectives, applications and convergences between practices of corporate governance and CSR in different national and institutional contexts.


For this special edition (June 2016) we invite submissions of papers on “Open debates, current trends and challenges in corporate governance and corporate social responsibility” which may include exemplary but not limited to topics like:

  • Challenges and opportunities of new research methodologies in studies of corporate governance and CSR
  • New models in corporate governance and CSR
  • Cross-national differences in corporate governance and CSR
  • Changing aspects in the role of board composition and ownership structures for emerging strategies and firms’ performance
  • The role of blockholders in corporate governance systems
  • Models of corporate governance and CSR in the case of family businesses
  • Directors’ and managers’ compensation and incentives
  • Corporate governance and CSR reporting / integrated reporting
  • Social accounting and environmental auditing

Articles submitted to the Editorial Committee must not have been previously published and may not be simultaneously under consideration at other academic journals.

GUIDELINES FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACT

Abstract can be no longer than 2 pages, single spaced, Times New Roman 10 pt. font.

Submit the document as either word document (.doc) or .pdf file.

The document should include: Abstract Title: Title should be concise and clearly identify the nature of the study.

The title should be in ALL CAPS, using Times New Roman 10 pt. font.

Center the title on the page.

List all authors: Two lines below title (still centered), in Times New Roman 10 pt. font.

Authors’ affiliation. On a new line, after the last author’s name, list the affiliation for each of the authors.

Text: Text should start on the left-hand side of the page two lines below the author’s names/affiliations. Please format your extended abstract to include a brief introduction, followed by methods and finally the results/discussion.

References and citations: Following the requirements of the RIO Journal

The deadline for the extended abstract submission is September 30, 2015
