Abstract

The article presents some reflections on the link between social care and local development in Spain. This is: a) to discern how far the idea of daily wellbeing is included in the social imaginary and practices of local councils b) to define the importance that such idea and practices have in the local agenda and c) to point out some of the reasons that can explain why the relationship between care, local politics and quality employment seems to be almost nonexistent.
