Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the powerful mechanisms of impeachment, lawfare, and fake news in Brazil. These mechanisms have been decisive in other electoral processes in recent times and allow us to consider the current political situation in Latin-America, which is mainly characterized by liberal right-wing conservative or populist governments identified with neoliberal politics.
