Abstract

In the two last decades it has been satisfied and taking importance the concept from culture in the study of the organizations. The culture concept, originating of the Social Anthropology, it has an ample tradition in the field of social sciences and has gone more and more being used by sociology by its versatility, being applied to very different realities. From the proposals of Schein to half of the eighty study of the culture of the organizations it has been developed and taking a definitively central character in the rational understanding from the operation of the organizations. It seems opportune to try to systematize that theoretical development until the present contributions, what it will allow us to watch its tendencies of future and their relation with other new concepts that have been appearing. One really is to see the functions of the culture of the organizations in a deep perspective.
