Abstract

This article's objective is to offer a descriptive approximation to the distinctive features of the Third Sector's entities, through their organizational characteristics, government and management, considering that these three lines of analysis are conditioned by the institutional acknowledgement of the social functions that are carried out by the plural and heterogeneous collection of their entities, understood as charity organizations whose main features are privacy, principle of no profit distribution, voluntary resources mobilization, formal organizational structure and capacity of autonomy and governance.
