Abstract

This article aims to analyze the problems presented by the various dimensions of modern capitalismo. The new economic sociology is based on the assumption that the economy is embedded in social relations. It cannot be studied without taking the social context into account. From this academic viewpoint, capitalism is more than the logic of the accumulation of capital under the mechanism of the markets and, therefore, if the present moment is to be analyzed, the logic of its historical evolution must be understood and economic aspects must be linked with political and social aspects.
