Abstract

In this paper we present some reflections and a basic framework to analyze gender participation in participatory mechanisms. This framework is applied to evaluate the participatory budget's performances in Sevilla from a gendered perspective and by comparing its 11 districts. The results show that there is variability across the districts in the city and that the participatory budget's performances are important if the various participatory contexts are to be defined.
